Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Inquiry Learning untuk Meningkatkan Kreativitas Siswa dalam Pembelajaran IPA di Sekolah Menengah Pertama

Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa sekolah menengah masih menjadi tantangan utama dalam sistem pendidikan yang cenderung berorientasi pada hasil belajar kognitif dan reproduksi informasi. Kondisi ini menuntut penerapan strategi pembelajaran yang mampu menumbuhkan kreativitas melalui proses berpikir kritis dan eksploratif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan Inquiry Learning terhadap peningkatan kreativitas siswa sekolah menengah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional, melibatkan 189 siswa dari beberapa sekolah menengah yang dipilih secara acak. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner terstandar dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif serta inferensial melalui uji korelasi Pearson dan regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Inquiry Learning berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kreativitas siswa (r = 0.782; β = 0.745; p < 0.001), dengan nilai determinasi (R²) sebesar 0.611, yang berarti bahwa 61,1% variasi kreativitas siswa dapat dijelaskan oleh penerapan strategi pembelajaran tersebut. Temuan ini memperkuat teori konstruktivisme yang menempatkan siswa sebagai subjek aktif dalam membangun pengetahuan dan menunjukkan bahwa Inquiry Learning merupakan pendekatan efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya penerapan Inquiry Learning secara sistematis dalam kurikulum pendidikan menengah untuk mendukung pengembangan kreativitas, inovasi, dan kesiapan generasi muda menghadapi tantangan abad ke-21.
