Peran Konseling Sekolah dalam Menangani Kasus Bullying pada Siswa SMP

Abstract

Bullying di kalangan siswa SMP merupakan masalah serius yang berdampak negatif pada perkembangan psikososial dan prestasi akademik. Peran konseling sekolah dianggap penting sebagai strategi intervensi untuk mengurangi perilaku agresif dan meningkatkan keterampilan sosial siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi strategi konseling sekolah dalam menangani bullying dan mengevaluasi dampaknya terhadap perilaku serta kesejahteraan psikososial siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain pre-test dan post-test, melibatkan 60 siswa SMP sebagai sampel melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner standar untuk mengukur perilaku agresif, keterampilan sosial, persepsi keamanan, dan kepuasan terhadap layanan konseling, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi konseling secara signifikan menurunkan perilaku agresif siswa (p < 0,001) dan meningkatkan keterampilan sosial, persepsi keamanan, serta kepuasan siswa terhadap layanan konseling (p < 0,001). Temuan ini menegaskan efektivitas konseling sekolah sebagai intervensi holistik yang melibatkan konselor, guru, dan orang tua dalam menciptakan iklim sekolah yang aman dan mendukung perkembangan sosial-emosional siswa. Implikasi penelitian ini mencakup penguatan praktik konseling berbasis bukti di sekolah, peningkatan kesejahteraan psikososial siswa, serta panduan bagi pengembangan kebijakan pendidikan yang mengutamakan pencegahan bullying secara sistematis.
