However, in practice, material estimation for roof construction is still predominantly performed using conventional manual calculations. This approach relies heavily on subjective judgment, resulting in inconsistent estimates and increasing the risk of cost overruns, material waste, and project delays. To address these challenges, this study proposes an expert system-based web application for predicting material requirements and generating two-dimensional (2D) visualizations of light steel roof designs The proposed system employs the Classification and Regression Tree (CART) algorithm, a Decision Tree technique, to classify roof specifications based on building dimensions, while an expert system provides rule-based recommendations for supporting construction materials, including roof sheets, screws, and structural components. Users are only required to input the building length and width, after which the system automatically predicts material quantities, estimates construction costs, and generates a 2D roof design visualization. The integration of predictive analytics and expert knowledge minimizes human error, improves the consistency of material estimation, and enhances decision-making for both technical and non-technical users. Furthermore, the developed system provides a transparent, efficient, and user-friendly solution for construction planning by reducing calculation complexity and optimizing material utilization. The proposed approach demonstrates the potential.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Manajemen, Informatika, Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak dan Teknologi Komunikasihttps://www.ejournal.marqchainstitute.or.id/index.php/Jmirte/article/view/361The Role of Alumni Units in Building Professional Networks for Alumni2026-06-27T08:46:11+00:00Riqzat Libernoriqzatbawe@gmail.comHeriyantoheriyanto@binadarma.ac.idTrisninawatitrisninawati@binadarma.ac.idAndrian Noviardyandrian.noviardy@binadarma.ac.idEfan Elpansoefan.elpanso@binadarma.ac.id
Universities are responsible not only for producing academically competent graduates but also for preparing alumni to adapt and compete in the workplace through the development of professional networks. In this context, the alumni unit plays a strategic role as a liaison between alumni, the institution, and the industrial world. This study aims to analyze the role of the alumni unit in building professional networks for alumni, identify obstacles faced, and examine efforts made to overcome these obstacles. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach with the Alumni Unit of Bina Darma University as the research object. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation during internships, then analyzed descriptively to obtain an in-depth overview of alumni management. The results show that the Alumni Unit plays a role as a communication liaison between alumni and the university, a provider of career information, and a facilitator in the development of professional networks through alumni database management programs, tracer studies, seminars, webinars, and other alumni activities. The main obstacles faced include low alumni participation, alumni data that is not always up-to-date, and the wide distribution of alumni. Maju Jaya Komputer, a company engaged in the retail of computer products and related peripherals, requires a performance assessment mechanism capable of processing employee data effectively. The existing conventional evaluation process is time-consuming and prone to subjectivity in identifying outstanding employees. This study aims to implement the Random Forest algorithm to classify outstanding employees based on historical sales records and predefined performance indicators. The research methodology consists of data collection, data preprocessing, Random Forest model development, and performance evaluation using a confusion matrix with accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score as evaluation metrics. The results demonstrate that the Random Forest model successfully classified employee performance using three key predictor variables, namely the number of laptops sold, attendance rate, and the number of sales prospects. For a new employee record with 26 laptops sold, 94% attendance, and 41 sales prospects, all decision trees consistently predicted the employee as Outstanding, resulting in a majority voting decision of the Random Forest classifier that identified the employee as an outstanding performer. In this prediction example, the model achieved an Accuracy of 100%, Precision of 100%, Recall of 100%, and an F1-score of 100% in classifying outstanding employees. The implementation of this model is expected to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance evaluation while supporting more data-driven human resource management practices.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Manajemen, Informatika, Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak dan Teknologi Komunikasihttps://www.ejournal.marqchainstitute.or.id/index.php/Jmirte/article/view/393CNN-Based Identification of Waterlogging-Tolerant Plants for Consumption Safety2026-07-30T04:11:22+00:00Anggi Sri Rezeki Nasutionanggiinst23@gmail.comMulkan AzhariAzhari.mulkan@gmail.com
Indonesia's tropical climate creates a high risk of flooding that produces prolonged waterlogging in many regions. Several plant species survived under such conditions and were potentially used as alternative food sources, yet not all were safe for direct consumption, while public knowledge to distinguish safe from toxic species remained limited. This study aimed to design an image-based identification system for waterlogging-tolerant plants using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with the MobileNetV2 architecture to determine consumption feasibility. The model was trained through transfer learning on 1,500 images covering 15 species, split 70:15:15 for training, validation, and testing. The system integrated a Laravel web application with a FastAPI-based Machine Learning Service via REST API. Testing on 225 images yielded an accuracy of 84%, precision of 85%, recall of 84%, and an F1-score of 84%, with each result accompanied by the species' consumption status, characteristics, edible parts, and processing method.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Manajemen, Informatika, Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak dan Teknologi Komunikasihttps://www.ejournal.marqchainstitute.or.id/index.php/Jmirte/article/view/373The Effect of Doom Scrolling and Digital Advertising on Purchase Decisions Through Impulsive Buying, with Self-Control as a Moderating Variable Among Social Media Users2026-07-01T07:32:46+00:00Naila Putri Salafinanailaputrislavina920@gmail.comMuchammad Shocibul Munir shochibulmunir46@gmail.comMoh Anta Sifau Fuadiasf300605@gmail.comMakhdum Al Thaqolainimakhdum800@gmail.comMuhammad Fadil Khosyi’inFadhilhosyiin2004@gmail.comSinollahsinollah@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze the effect of doom scrolling and digital advertising on purchase decisions mediated by impulsive buying, and to examine the moderating role of self-control among social media users. At AMIK Medicom, the Learning Management System (LMS) serves as the primary platform for accessing academic services, including tuition payment information, grades, attendance records, academic advising, and course-related announcements. To ensure that the system effectively meets users' needs and expectations, a comprehensive evaluation of its performance is required. One widely adopted approach for assessing user satisfaction is the End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) method, which evaluates users' satisfaction by comparing their expectations with the actual performance of the system. The findings indicate that the system quality dimensions, namely content, format, accuracy, timeliness, and ease of use, collectively explain 84.7% of user satisfaction. These results suggest that students are generally highly satisfied with the quality of the LMS implemented at AMIK Medicom. Furthermore, the results of the partial (t-test) analysis reveal that ease of use does not have a statistically significant effect on user satisfaction. In contrast, the dimensions of content, format, accuracy, and timeliness have a significant positive influence on students' satisfaction with the academic information system.
2026-05-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Manajemen, Informatika, Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak dan Teknologi Komunikasihttps://www.ejournal.marqchainstitute.or.id/index.php/Jmirte/article/view/375The Role of Social Media in Communication Management of Non-Commercial Government Policy Campaigns Reviewed From the Public Information Disclosure Act2026-07-04T03:09:06+00:00Ni Putu Sinta Dewisintadewi1@universitasbumigora.ac.idMuhammad FathoniFathoni.mhd@gmail.comI Made Agus ArtanaArtana.agus@gmail.comI Gede Anjas KharismanataKharismanata.gede@gmai.com
This study examines the role of social media in the communication management of non-commercial government policy campaigns using the framework of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure. Non-commercial government policy campaigns are a form of public communication aimed at socializing regulations, programs, or state policies without a profit motive, and are oriented more toward increasing public awareness, participation, and transparency. The growing number of social media users in Indonesia year by year presents both opportunities and challenges for public bodies in managing policy communication effectively. A descriptive qualitative method was applied through library research techniques and document analysis of government policies, regulations, and social media communication practices. The findings show that social media plays a strategic role in strengthening transparency, accelerating information dissemination, and building two-way dialogue between government and society, although its use in practice is still dominated by one-way (push) communication patterns, so that public participation has not yet become fully meaningful. The implementation of the Public Information Disclosure Act through Information and Documentation Management Officers provides the legal framework underlying the management of non-commercial campaigns so that they remain transparent and accountable. This study reinforces the need for an adaptive, collaborative, and data-based digital communication strategy to optimize the role of social media in government policy campaigns, while also strengthening the institutional capacity of those who manage them.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Manajemen, Informatika, Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak dan Teknologi Komunikasihttps://www.ejournal.marqchainstitute.or.id/index.php/Jmirte/article/view/368Strategic Planning and Asset Management in Increasing Generation Z Investment Interest in Paya Bengkuang Village2026-06-26T17:01:53+00:00Kayla Aulia Rahmakaylaauliarahma6@gmail.comM Chaerul RizkyRizky.chae@gmail.comDewi Nurmasari PanePane.dewi@gmail.comEmelia Santika Br SembiringSembiring.emel@gmail.comHikmal FuadyFuady.hikmal@gmmail.com
This study aims to analyze the influence of strategic planning and asset management on Generation Z's investment interest in Paya Bengkuang Village. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 60 respondents selected through saturated sampling techniques. Data were analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, F-tests, and coefficient of determination analysis with the assistance of SPSS software. The results indicate that strategic planning has a positive and significant effect on investment interest, with a t-value of 3.167 and a significance level of 0.002 (<0.05). Asset management also has a positive and significant effect on investment interest, with a t-value of 2.328 and a significance level of 0.024 (<0.05). Simultaneously, strategic planning and asset management significantly influence investment interest, as evidenced by an F-value of 7.676 and a significance level of 0.001 (<0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.212 indicates that 21.2% of the variation in investment interest can be explained by strategic planning and asset management, while the remaining 78.8% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. The findings also reveal that strategic planning has a more dominant influence than asset management in increasing Generation Z's investment interest in Paya Bengkuang Village. Therefore, improving strategic planning and asset management capabilities is essential to enhance investment interest among young people.
2026-06-27T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Manajemen, Informatika, Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak dan Teknologi Komunikasi
