Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the Effect of School Nutrition Interventions on the Nutritional Status and Academic Achievement of Students at XYZ Primary School. The background is based on the nutritional and academic performance challenges faced by children in the primary school setting, exposing the need for holistic interventions to improve their health and learning. The research method utilized a longitudinal design with a population of XYZ Primary School students as the sample. The nutrition intervention involved providing a healthy breakfast and nutritious lunch for 6 months. The results showed a significant improvement in students' nutritional status, especially in the BMI category and hemoglobin levels. In addition, there was a consistent improvement in academic performance along with the nutritional intervention. The implication of this study is the importance of school nutrition intervention programs in supporting students' health and learning at the primary level, with recommendations to expand and strengthen similar programs in various educational institutions.
