Analysis of the Effectiveness of Mental Health Services at Puskesmas in Reducing Symptoms of Depression among the Elderly

In the context of elderly mental health, evaluating the effectiveness of services at Puskesmas is crucial in overcoming the increasing symptoms of depression. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of mental health services at Puskesmas in reducing symptoms of depression in the elderly. The method used involved quantitative and qualitative data analysis from elderly patients who received mental health services at Puskesmas. The results showed significant improvement in depressive symptom scores after the intervention, but also identified challenges such as the lack of trained medical personnel. The practical implication of this study is the need to develop more holistic intervention strategies, more targeted training of medical personnel, and collaboration between stakeholders to strengthen mental health services for the elderly at the community level.
